There is no subscription, no per-minute charge, and no separate cost for the speech models. A 48-hour trial of the complete app needs no card.
Every tier is a one-time payment via Stripe checkout, license key by email. Same app, same features. The tiers only change how many devices the key activates.

Checkout runs through Stripe on jesrecap.com. No account is created for the app itself.
Activate
A license key arrives by email. Paste it into JesRecap once on each licensed device.
Lost the key
Recover it from the recovery page using the email address you bought with.
New computer
Manage which devices your license is on from device management.
Pricing questions
Why one-time instead of a subscription?
Because our costs do not scale with your usage. Transcription happens on your processor, recordings sit on your disk, and we store nothing on your behalf. A subscription would be charging you monthly for infrastructure that does not exist. The one cost we do carry, hosting the speech models you download once, does not justify a recurring bill.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Install JesRecap, enter your email address in the activation screen, and use the code we send to unlock the full app for 48 hours. No card is required. See the free trial page.
Is there a permanently free tier?
No. There is no advertising to sell and no data to monetise, so a free tier would have to be paid for by the people who do buy. One honest price is the trade we prefer.
How many devices does a license cover?
One, two, four, or eight computers, depending on the tier you pick, all belonging to the same person or team. Nine or more computers use the team tier at €12.49 per device, up to 250. Beyond that, talk to us.
Does the price include updates?
Updates during the preview are included. JesRecap is on a preview release channel today, and every build published there is free to license holders. See the releases page.
Are there per-minute or per-meeting charges?
No. There is no meter anywhere in the product. Recording a thousand hours costs the same as recording one, because the work happens on your hardware.
Do I pay extra for the speech models?
No. Models are downloaded once from models.jesrecap.com and reused. The speaker-labelling model is a separate one-time 54 MB download, also included.

What currency am I charged in?
The price is set in euros: €34.95. Stripe handles the conversion if your card is in another currency.
