Download JesRecap
Pick your platform. The preview installs like any other desktop app, records both sides of the call as separate tracks, and transcribes on the machine it runs on.
macOS
System audio is captured with Core Audio process taps — the same audio your speakers already play. macOS asks for the Audio Capture permission once, the first time you record.
Requires macOS 14.2 or newer · Apple Silicon
Windows
System audio is captured with WASAPI loopback, which is built into Windows. No virtual audio driver, no kernel extension, nothing extra to install.
Requires Windows 10 or Windows 11
JesRecap is in preview. Expect rough edges, and expect it to keep improving — see the release notes.
What is in the download
One installer, one app. No companion service, no browser extension, no account to create.
The recorder
Start and stop a recording, watch live meters for both sources, and see an optional live transcript while the meeting runs.
Dual-track capture
Your microphone and the meeting audio are written as separate WAV files, then mixed into one playback track after the meeting ends.
Local transcription
Whisper-family speech models run on your machine. The model is downloaded once from models.jesrecap.com and reused after that.
Speaker labels
After recording, a local diarization model separates you from the other voices. It is a one-time 54 MB download. See speaker labels.
Meeting actions
One click copies a ready-made prompt with the transcript included — summary, action items, or your own. You paste it into whichever AI you already use. See meeting actions.
Exports
Markdown notes, plain text, a JSON archive, SRT and VTT captions, and the audio itself — mixed, microphone only, or system audio only.
What differs by platform
The app is the same on both. Only the way the operating system hands over its audio changes.

Trying it before you buy
A 48-hour free trial is on the way — email delivery is not live yet, so it is marked coming soon. The details are on the free trial page. Until then licenses start at €34.95 once for one device, with tiers up to 8 devices.
No Linux build today. Microphone capture is cross-platform, but the system-audio side is written against macOS and Windows audio APIs.
Download questions
Does JesRecap join my meeting?
No. Nothing is added to the call and no other participant appears. JesRecap records the audio your computer already plays, plus your microphone, so it works with Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex, Slack huddles, any other app, and in-person conversations through the microphone alone.
Do I need an account to download it?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. You install the app, and later you paste in a license key that arrives by email after checkout.
Does it need an internet connection?
Only twice: once to download a speech model, and once to activate your license. Recording, transcription and speaker labels all run on your machine, so a meeting on a plane transcribes exactly like a meeting at your desk.
What does "preview" mean here?
JesRecap ships through a preview channel rather than a finished 1.0. The recording, transcription, labelling and export paths all work, but interfaces and defaults still move between builds. The releases page tracks what is in the current preview.
Can I use one license on my laptop and my desktop?
Yes — license tiers cover 1, 2, 4, or 8 devices for the same person. Pricing details are on the pricing page.
